Becoming a member

Membership to the Cassowary Coast Library and Museum Services is free to all residents of Queensland. There is no minimum age for joining but those under the age of 18 are required to register in person with a parent or guardian.

You may join the library online by clicking on the acceptance button below after reading the membership conditions. Your membership card can be collected from your nearest library upon presentation of ID and proof of residential address.

Conditions of membership

• By joining online you will be assigned a temporary membership number. This entitles you to access our eResources including eBooks, eAudio, eMagazines and other online resources. If you wish to borrow physical items or use our public computers please present proof of address and ID at your local library to collect your membership card.
• You must present your library card when borrowing items.
• You may borrow up to 30 items at a time for a period of 3 weeks (magazines are restricted to 10 per member).
• Items may be renewed provided there are no requests on the item.
• Overdue notices are a courtesy reminder for your convenience.
• Lost or damaged items will incur a cost.
• If you change your address or contact details please notify us immediately.
• Please report lost cards immediately. You will be held responsible for any items borrowed before the loss is reported.
• Membership details are confidential and will not be disclosed to other parties.
